DESCRIPTION:Join HYPE on Thursday\, March 9th to help out at F.R.I.E.N.D.S of Broomfield with their cookies and canvas night. FRIENDS is a unique service organization dedicated to not only creating a sense of community\, but establishing a place where people feel like they belong and are making progress toward their goals. A place where women and men with a developmental disability can share their stories and dreams\, develop their talents and abilities and be supported to live healthy\, happy\, and meaningful lives. During our time at F.R.I.E.N.D.S the men and woman will be separated to do different activities and they have asked that our volunteers do the same. Below are the activities each gender will be participating in. \n\n\n\nHYPE Boys & Girls meet at F.R.I.E.N.D.S.  If any HYPE member wants to make/bring cookies for the boys\, they are welcome to.\n\n\n\nHYPE Boys help get FRIENDS boys ready for painting.  FRIENDS staff will direct how to chaperone\, help setup\, help with painting\, have conversation with FRIENDS boys.\n\n\n\nHYPE Gals help get FRIENDS gals ready to leave at 6:15 for Madcap Theater Improv night.  FRIENDS staff will direct us.  While at the theater we act as chaperones and friends.  \n\n\n\nIn order to be a volunteer we need to fill out volunteer applications for and background checks to Rayben at: rwalters@friendsofbroomfield.org by March 3rd.
