11th Annual Denver International Wine Festival

11th Annual Denver International Wine Festival

2015 Denver International Wine Festival Dates Announced
11th Annual DIWF Returns This Fall With Distinguished Wine Educator and Author Oct. 28-30

DENVER, Colorado – July 20, 2015
Wine Country Network, Inc., has announced the dates for its 11th Annual Denver International Wine Festival. The three-day wine and food festival showcases the largest selection of international and domestic wines at any Grand Tasting in the Rocky Mountain region, and
was recently named one of the “Top 10 Can’t Miss Fall Wine Festivals” in the U.S. by Fodor’s.

Wine Country Network is proud to announce this year’s honorary host as Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible. Karen is also a preeminent wine educator, wine consultant and President of Karen MacNeil and Company. She has won every top wine award in the English language, and will be debuting her newly revised Wine Bible at the DIWF.

The Festival will kick off with the Grand Vintner’s Dinner, a multi-course winemaker’s dinner, on Wednesday, October 28. The location and featured winery will be announced at a later date. Past Vintner’s Dinners have featured the prestigious wineries Silver Oak and Banfi Vintners.
On Thursday, October 29, the Festival continues with the Pairsine Chefs Fine Food and Wine Pairing Competition. In competition for the coveted People’s Choice Award, ten celebrated chefs have each been assigned two of the gold-medal-winning wines from the 2015 Denver International Wine Competition, and must create a gourmet food pairing for each wine. The Pairsine Competition will take place from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
The Grand Tasting of International Wines and Food will be held on Friday, October 30, from
4:00–9:00 p.m. (VIP), or 6:00–9:00 p.m. (general admission). This is the region’s largest wine tasting event for consumers, media and trade, with more than sixty wineries, breweries and distilleries pouring, including premium spirits, sake, and craft beer. Attendees enjoy delectable
food and wine tastings, food products, wine accessories, an auction and fine art.

100% of the auction proceeds will benefit There With Care®. There With Care’s mission is to provide a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to children and families during the critical phase of a medical crisis. For more information, please visit their website at http://therewithcare.org/.

The 2015 DIWF venue is the luxurious Omni Interlocken Resort, which will offer a limited number of rooms at a special festival rate of $99/night. Call 303-438-6600 for reservations.
