Citizens, that have old flags which have become worn beyond repair, may retire their flag properly by donating them to North Metro Fire Rescue or the Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum for inclusion in the 2012 Flag Retirement Ceremony on June 14th. Citizens can drop off their flags at the following locations and times:
North Metro Fire Rescue Headquarters
101 Lamar Street, Broomfield
Monday—Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum
12 Garden Center, Broomfield
Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
North Metro Fire Station 62
10550 Huron Street, Northglenn
Monday—Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
North Metro Fire Rescue and Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum will be accepting flags up until 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 2012.
The American flag is an honored symbol of the nation’s unity. This Flag Day on June 14th at 6:00 p.m., North Metro Fire Rescue District and the Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum are joining together to offer their 8th Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony for the community.
The ceremony is free to the public and will be held in the 9/11 Memorial Park behind North Metro Fire Rescue located at 101 Lamar St. in Broomfield.
