Bike to Work Day at Interlocken East Park!
Please join us to support bike commuting in Broomfield!
The Interlocken East Park breakfast station welcomes 250-300 cyclists each year on Bike to Work Day, making it one of the largest stations in the Denver region.
What is Bike to Work Day? Bike to Work Day takes place June 22, 2011, and is the Denver region?s largest annual bicycle commuting event. Each year nearly 30,000 commuters leave their cars at home to enjoy the benefits of getting to work on two wheels. In 2010, over 6,000 U.S. 36 bicyclists participated in Bike to Work Day, accounting for more than 30% of the Denver Metro region?s participants. Bike to Work Day is sponsored by the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), which brings together cities, counties, CDOT, RTD, community organizations and businesses across the state to educate commuters about the health and environmental benefits of bicycling.
