Create a 5x5

Create an art piece with Chromatix to donate to the upcoming 5x5 Art Auction at Work at 26 that benefits Broomfield FISH. We'll learn how to create beautiful pieces using a paint-pouring technique. All materials will be provided.

WHAT IS A 5X5?
A 5x5 is a 5 inch by 5 inch block of wood that we invite artists and the community to create a lovely piece of artwork on. 3D pieces are accepted as well within a 5x5x5 inch size. Wood blocks are provided by Work At 26 and can be picked up at our location.

The art blocks are submitted to the drop-off location at Work At 26 in 26 Garden Center, Suite 4 in Broomfield Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (extended drop-off times Thursdays 8:30am - 6pm), and will be out for display and bidding August 23rd 5:30pm - 8:30pm at the 5x5 Art Auction event. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Broomfield FISH Food Bank.

WHAT IF I DON'T FEEL LIKE I CAN MAKE A PIECE TO DONATE?
Please feel free to join us for this class if you are not comfortable creating something on your own, but still would like to contribute! Chromatix is sponsoring a class on paint-pouring techniques. A $5 class participation fee will cover the cost of the materials, and any leftover funds will be donated to Broomfield FISH. Please bring cash or a check. Paypal will also be accepted.

WILL THERE BE MORE CREATE A 5X5 CLASSES?
Possibly! It depends on the level of interest we receive from the community. Since it is donated time we want to be respectful of that. If you are interested in attending another Create a 5x5 class please let us know!

WHEN IS THE 5X5 ART AUCTION?
The 5x5 Art Auction will be Friday August 23rd from 5:30pm - 8:30pm at Work At 26, at 26 Garden Center in Broomfield.
