Duffle Bag Drive for CASA Kids
CASA recruits, trains, supports and supervises community volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children who are involved in the court system, through no fault of their own. Some children are moved from foster home to foster home, up to 7 times in one year. Many times they transport their few personal belongings in trash bags. Can you imagine how that could possible feel?
Dayna-Rae Martinez-Melamed is an Ambassador with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams & Broomfield Counties, a nonprofit organization...
Dayna-Rae will be collecting new and used Duffle Bags, Cinch Sacs, Canvas and other collapsible bags -

Here are a few facts about children in the Foster System:
• 55% of the prison population was once in foster care
• 75% of all human trafficking was in foster care or worked with social services
• In Adams County alone there are 1300 open cases at any given time
• There are approximately 230 CASA volunteers. That means only 30% of these children work with CASA
If this time frame does not work for you please contact Dayna-Rae to make other arrangements. Cash donations are also accepted, I'm happy to do the shopping.

In each bag we will add a personal note to remind all the children that they are important and loved.
Thank you for supporting this amazing cause that helps children through difficult times. If you would like more information about CASA or about becoming a Volunteer please contact Dayna-Rae.
