Running a solo business in the past meant that you had a one-person practice, most often offering a professional service, well suited for lawyers, accountants, and doctors for example. Although that is still the framework, the Internet, 3D printing, online storefronts, and other emerging technologies are giving us far more options.

The business you create can be formed around a product, a service, or a combination of both. It can be a for-profit, non-profit, domestic-only, international, have broad appeal, or only be for left-handed people in Armenia.

Best of all, you can keep your current job or lay it all on the line, after all the decision maker in any empire is the One in charge.
