One Toke Over The Line: Medical Marijuana at Work
Have you noticed the recent media attention given to medical marijuana in Colorado? Have you wondered what it means for your company and employees?
The use of medical marijuana is skyrocketing. Amendment 20 was passed in 2000 allowing persons to possess and use marijuana to treat some medical conditions without fear of criminal prosecution.
Between June 1, 2001 and August 31, 2009, there were 14, 377 state registry cardholders with only 27 applications denied. By January of this year there were 30,000 cardholders!
Users of, and applicants for, medical marijuana may be your employees. The impact of medical marijuana is spilling over into the workplace. You need solid information to manage those employees.
