Do you know why we call it the “Dog Days of Summer?” The phrase actually dates back all the way to ancient Roman times. The hottest days of summer occurred while Sirius, a star also known as the “Dog Star” found in the Canis Major constellation, shone brightest in the night sky. The more you know, right!?
