Ribbon Cutting for Colorado Conservatory of Dance
The School of Ballet Nouveau Colorado, soon to transform into the Colorado Conservatory of Dance, is a unique non-profit arts organization which provides a nurturing and safe environment for dancers of all ages and abilities, while also providing pre-professional training for those students who desire a career in dance. Under the guidance of School Director Julia Wilkinson Manley since 2002, the school is committed to every student regardless of age, ability, aspiration, or socio-economic status, providing over $70,000 in tuition assistance each year. In addition to partnering with four Title One Elementary Schools to bring arts integrated education to over 2,000 students each year, the school offers classes for students with special needs and works with local assisted living centers providing inter-generational programming.
