Rocky Mountain Airshow
CSA hosts a family-oriented weekend at the Rocky Mountain Airshow. The Airshow is attended by up to 400 aircraft from around the country. During the three-day event, the FAA and industry leaders present over 20 educational and safety forums. Building workshops for adults (welding, sheet metal, riveting techniques, etc.) and youth (ESTES model rocketry, balsa aircraft, rib building, etc.) help spark a new interest in learning and aviation. Activities designed specifically for young people are found in the Adventure Zone.
Space has been allocated for up to 100 vendors in fields including technology, safety, construction and special interests. Various food vendors will be onsite providing a wide range of meals and sundries. One of the highlights for almost everyone who attends is the daily Airshow which includes exciting aviation performers - something for everyone!
Up to 35,000 people are expected to attend the 2011 Airshow as we continue to expand our offerings and grow in popularity. The RMAS/RMRFI is now in its 32nd year in the Denver Metro area and third year at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. Previously, the event was held at Front Range Airport for five years and Vance Brand Regional Airport in Longmont, Colorado for 10 years. The Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport provides exceptional access to the Denver Metropolitan area with a diverse mix of urban, rural and mountain communities. Its placement along the Denver-Boulder corridor positions the airport on a major business and technology thoroughfare in Colorado.
