SUMMARY:Dispensing the FACTS About the Cannabis Industry (1st Qtr. 2020 Education Series)
DESCRIPTION:It's not often that your fashion friends and arthritic grandfather get obsessed with the same thing\, but suddenly\, everyone is talking about CBD\, a.k.a. cannabidiol. You know it's not pot\, but you don't know much else about it. The fact is\, CBD (the chemical component found in hemp)\, is non-psychoactive (meaning it won't get you high like the THC in marijuana). It is purported to provide many benefits and that's why it's showing up everywhere - from storefront dispensaries to your local corner convenience store (...continued below) \n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a three-part Lunch-and-Learn series designed to provide answers to the most commonly asked questions about the cannabis industry. During each session\, you'll hear from one of three trusted subject matter experts who are excited to share industry facts with you and answer the myriad of questions that most folks have. \n\n\n Why is there such a negative stigma associated with cannabis? \n What is the difference between hemp and marijuana? \n What is the difference between CBD and THC? \n How do you know that the product you're purchasing is safe and that what is listed on the label is actually what's in the product? \n What kind of oversight is provided to ensure the quality and safety of the product? \n\nIn addition\, you'll have the opportunity to ask your own questions and will leave with the information you need to determine if the use of CBD products is right for you!\n\n\n\nAttendance at each session is not mandatory\, but each session is designed to build on the last. Because of this\, we are offering a three-session (January 30th\, February 27th\, and March 26th) registration discount (for Broomfield Chamber members). Please note that this series is not open to the general public at this time. Attendees must be a member of the Broomfield Chamber and/or other Chambers from the surrounding communities!
