Job Description
The Broomfield Chamber of Commerce is currently looking for the right person in the Membership Department. The Chamber is a private, non-profit, membership-driven organization comprised of over 400 business enterprises, civic organizations, education institutions and individuals. Its mission is to provide leadership that will help create regional economic prosperity and success for its members in Broomfield and surrounding area.

Under minimal supervision, this commission only position is responsible for selling Chamber memberships to prospective non member businesses by communicating the benefits of the Chamber and retaining current members by working to provide value to each member. This will be done by providing detailed information on various programs offered through the Chamber and orienting the client to the organization. This position reports directly to the CEO.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Contact, acquire and sell new Chamber memberships
  • Schedule appointments via phone, email, or virtual platforms
  • Close sales during onsite or virtual visits, or through followup phone calls/visits and written correspondence
  • Achieve budgeted revenue goals
  • Actively seek new businesses and follow up appropriately
  • Maintain knowledge of goals, objectives and services provided by the Chamber
  • Remain informed of member benefits, Chamber events, etc.
  • Actively support and participate in Chamber events and programs to provide value to current members
  • Assists Chamber members in taking full advantage of their membership · Attends regular sales/staff meetings as needed

  • Strong organization, time management and multitasking skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Selfstarter with a professional appearance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Must have/maintain a dependable vehicle with proof of license and insurance
  • Ability to prospect/coldcall new businesses
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information
  • Must be a team player that works well in an adapting environment
  • Must have the ability to foster the values of member relations
  • Exceptional people skills with an outgoing personality
  • Flexible schedule
