VENDOR FAQ’S – 2022 TASTE IT BROOMFIELD
How many food/beverage items am I permitted to bring? – we kindly request that you limit your samples to no more than two (2) bite-sized items. All vendors deserve to have their foods and beverages sampled and we don’t want our guests to get full before they’ve visited all the vendor booths.
Do I need a hand washing station at my station? YES! YES! YES! all food vendors are required to have a hand wash in their 10x10 space. This is the responsibility of the vendor per the special event permit.
Who will provide the table and chairs for our space? – the Chamber will provide one table (8ft table) and two chairs for each vendor. Additional tables and chairs are the responsibility of the vendor.
Will I need to bring my own tablecloth, napkins, serving utensils, etc? - Yes. The chamber will not provide tablecloths, napkins, or any type of serving utensils.
Will I need to provide my own canopy? - Yes, the Chamber highly recommends a branded canopy to provide visibility of your space location to all attendees.
What about ice? – Yes, ice will be available in the area prep kitchen
Will electricity be available? – Electricity is available to a limited # of booth spaces on a first come, First served bases. Please indicate your need for electricity on your vendor registration form or email a Chamber Staff member.
What about a way to heat my product of keep my food warm or cold? – the venue has graciously agreed to allow our vendors to use their kitchen area. Please know however, that we (the Chamber) expect that all our vendors and their employees will conduct themselves with the greatest integrity and will leave the area as clean, if not cleaner, than they found it! Also keep in mind that we highly encourage you to bring your own warming or cooling receptacles since we have over 30 food and beverage vendors participating.
What categories can I compete in, and can I compete in more than one (1) category? Please make sure to declare the category along with your food name on the Vendor Registration form!
- Best Savory Bite
- Best Sweet Treat
- Best Rise and Shine
- Best Alcoholic Beverage
- Best Non-Alcoholic Beverage
- Best Started Dish
- Best of Broomfield (all will be included)
I’m serving alcoholic beverages. Are there any special considerations that I should be aware of? –All vendors who are serving alcoholic beverages will be required to have an Aramark employee dispensing their beverage. NOTE: there is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for this service. Aramark holds the liquor license for this venue, so you will NOT be required to pull a Special Event Liquor Permit or obtain a separate insurance policy. We supply 5 oz event-branded tasting glasses but will leave the amount of your poured sample up to you. We recommend NOT completely filling the glass. If you are providing spirits, we highly recommend no more than 1/2oz per sample. Combining the spirit with a mixer is your choice. It is up to you to communicate the amount you would like poured to your assigned Aramark pourer. Because Aramark is responsible for the pouring, we need to have an accurate accounting of all alcoholic beverages that will be served to plan for the correct # of pourers. Any vendor who does not declare their alcoholic beverage on their Vendor Registration form will NOT be permitted to have their beverage served. All alcoholic beverage vendors should still plan on having at least two employees to staff their booth. This is a great opportunity to engage with the attendees to answer questions about your product.
Will electronic polling/voting be in place again this year? – Yes! We are so, so excited to once again be utilizing this feature for our Taste of Broomfield event. We are partnering with Survey Money and we see this as a huge benefit and return on Involvement for our vendors! Guests will receive a QR code on their passport to vote. The Survey Monkey App does not require voters to download the app. The Chamber will also provide a 8.5 x11 QR code at each vendor table.
Are you doing passports again this year? - yes, we will once again be distributing a printed, take-away passport. Our goal is to put something tangible in the hands of our attendees – something that they will take-away with them to remind them of YOUR great food and get them to visit your establishment post-event
Which entrance should I use at the 1stBank Center for unloading and set-up? All vendors will use the EAST entrance for load-in and load-out. You may use the loading docks only if your items will not fit through the doors at the east entrance. An Aramark employee will be stationed at the East entrance to ID all vendor attendees, so please make sure that your staff has their ID’s available to be checked. Vendors without wristbands signifying legal drinking age will not be served alcohol.
Once unloaded, where should we park? – vendor parking will be available in the EAST parking lot. Please note that the WEST parking lot will be reserved for VIP attendee parking only!
When will winners be announced, and awards presented? – winners will be announced, and awards will be presented between 7:45 and 8:00pm on the evening of the event!
